This is Me

"This Is Me" I am so excited to present this artwork, after spending the last 9 months as a passionate artist trying many different colours, techniques and painting methods.  This work represents my new style! I found the whole process exhilarating, enjoyable and very satisfying, hence the title “This Is Me”.  The process began with the first layer of calmly painting fluid large lines in my chosen colour palette of Black, Dark Sea and Blue Lagoon, inspired by the way Betty Franks initiates her works.  With the second layer, I started to form the composition and some texture, while with the third layer I concentrated on values and added the pale pink and gold as highlights.  The final layers are the most fun with my signature ink markings.  My hope is the piece brings you joy and happiness, as it did for me!
